Subject This article discusses and analyzes potential threats affecting the labor market.
Objectives The article aims to assess the predicted state of potential threats to the regional labor market.
Methods For the study, I used the methods of logical unity, analysis and synthesis, dialectical and structural methods, and specific methods of estimation and forecasting of potential threats to the labor market.
Results The article analyzes and summarizes the forecast indicators of the labor market for the period 2018–2025. Based on the analysis of changes in the working population, assessment of the status of unemployment and wages, the article predicts potential threats to the regional labor market.
Conclusions and Relevance The study shows that the labor market in the period up to 2020 will develop against the backdrop of declining working population. The results of the study can be used by the authorities to justify employment policies at different levels in the development of strategically important documents and social development programs in the region, and in the practice of employment services.
