Financial policies of the tsarist government during the First World War

Article considers the state of finances of Russia on the eve of the First World War and the financial policy of the state in the war period. The author pays an attention to the activities of the last Russian imperial minister of finance Barka P.L. The paper covers the main sources of revenue of the state budget. The author also reviews internal and external loans, currency issue and the tax system.
