Subject. State financial support for small agribusiness entities in Russia. Objectives. To study the dynamics and main forms of State financial support for small agribusiness as a key priority of Russia’s current agricultural policy. Methods. The research employed a systems approach and general scientific methods of cognition (analysis and synthesis, comparison and generalization). The information base comprises analytical materials from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Results. The necessity of State financial support for small agribusiness has been substantiated. Theoretical and methodological principles for supporting small business entities in the agricultural sector have been proposed, and the specifics of grant-based support have been examined. Particular attention has been paid to the volumes of public funding, as well as planned changes in the mechanism for subsidizing small-scale agrarian entrepreneurship. Conclusions. The development of small agribusiness is a key priority of Russia’s contemporary agricultural policy. At present, the State provides comprehensive financial support to small agribusiness entities, which is continuously being improved to meet current realities and address emerging challenges.
