Asset tokenization and digital content monetization: The creative industry case study

Subject. This article discusses the issues of financing new digital services, tokenization of assets, and monetization of digital content with an emphasis on the creative industry.
Objectives. The article aims to identify modern technological and economic solutions that can help manage copyright effectively and create new revenue channels for digital authors and investors.
Methods. For the study, we used a comparative analytical approach and artificial intelligence methods.
Results. The article describes some token particularities and new types of tokenized assets. It presents a classification of tokenized assets, approaches to estimating their value, and a generalized valuation equation. The novelty of the study lies in the integration of traditional financial valuation tools with parameters specific to digital and tokenized assets.
Conclusions and Relevance. The presented results demonstrate that the integration of blockchain platforms contributes to the protection of uniqueness, tracing origin and transparent distribution of income between market participants. Successful digital content monetization mechanisms can be adapted to various multimedia formats, metaverses, and the gaming industry. The findings can be applied when developing new business models in the creative economy, as well as improving the regulatory framework that ensures the interests of creators and owners of tokenized digital assets.
