Subject. This article discusses the issues of the theory of financial relations of Islamic financial institutions and the formation of the Islamic (partnership) finance industry in Russia. Objectives. The article aims to develop a list of unacceptable financial operations that can serve as the basis for 'partnership' regulatory documents. Methods. For the study, I used the general scientific research methods. Results. The article describes and analyzes the key prohibitions established in Islamic law (Sharia) regarding financial activities, as well as the numerous consequences of their practical application. It brings up an issue of conducting research in related fields of science, i.e. the financial (application of Islamic finance) and theological (Sharia key prohibitions) ones. The article presents a list of unacceptable financial transactions. Conclusions. The results of the study can be useful to the financial regulator, bankers and financiers, as well as companies involved in the experiment on partnership financing in accordance with Federal Law № 417, On Conducting an Experiment to Establish Special Regulation in Order to Create the Necessary Conditions for Carrying out Activities on Partnership Financing in Certain Subjects of the Russian Federation, and On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.
