Subject. The article addresses the process of managing sustainable development of Russian enterprises in the current conditions of transformation of economic relations. Objectives. The study aims to develop theoretical and methodological principles and methodological recommendations to ensure sustainable development of Russian enterprises in the context of the special military operation (SMO). Methods. The study draws on the integrated and systems approaches, on observance of principles formulated in the economic theory of growth and development and the managerial decision-making theory. The methods applied include economic and statistical analysis, economic and mathematical modeling of phenomena and processes. Results. The paper gives analytical description of the business model of sustainability in the form of a dynamic system of balanced indicators, used for modeling the process of sustainable development. Simulating various parameters of sustainable development resulted in obtaining the trajectories of changes in balanced indicators of sustainability. We unveiled regularities and peculiarities that must be considered for managerial decision-making purposes to ensure the achievement of sustainable development of the enterprise. Conclusions. The paper underpinned the dependence of the intensification and increased efficiency of sustainable development of Russian enterprises under the ongoing SMO on the achievement of appropriate proportions between the indicators of sustainability. We established that sustainable development implies an increase in the level of adaptation and in the potential for sustainability, and a positive trend in the synergy coefficient indicates the implementation of economic, social, and ecological activities at the enterprise, i.e. sustainable development.
