Subject. The article deals with development of theoretical and methodological principles and practical recommendations for improving the financial mechanisms to stimulate digital transformation of industrial enterprises given the specifics of digital projects and their impact on business performance. Objectives. The aim is to devise theoretical and methodological bases and practical recommendations to enhance incentive mechanisms for digital transformation of industrial enterprises. Methods. The study rests on the comprehensive approach, including methods of systems, structural, comparative analysis, content analysis of existing financial instruments, and economic-mathematical modeling. The concepts of digital economy, innovation management, and financial engineering served as the theoretical framework of the study. Results. The classification of the existing financial tools enabled to reveal their advantages and limitations. I developed a methodology to assess financial efficiency of digital projects, which includes an algorithm, evaluation indicators, and practical recommendations for integration into the enterprise management system. It also allows considering both quantitative and qualitative parameters of the impact of digital technologies on processes and overall business performance. Conclusions. The paper offers approaches to evaluating the financial efficiency of digital projects based on the multifactor methodology that incorporates indices of digital maturity, risk levels, and economic value of technologies.
