Subject. This article discusses the present-day restricting factors and digital trends in the Russian society's advancement, since while developing, they are influencing various consumption patterns, lifestyles, habits, etc.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the restricting factors and current digital trends in the society's development to classify them in order to identify the key common characteristics important for the consumers.
Methods. For the study, we used analysis, induction, description, and classification.
Results. The article analyzes and classifies the found restricting factors of the Russian society's development, identifies the current digital trend key characteristics, and describes the importance of understanding the restricting factors and consumer trends as a core element for medium- and long-term business strategies.
Conclusions and Relevance. The modern Russian society has already acquired some digital characteristics that can be observed in the form of certain trends. The results obtained may be useful to managers and business owners to develop business strategies.
