Economic security of the industrial complex in the context of digital transformation

Subject. This article examines the issues of achieving a stable level of economic security of the industrial complex under the conditions of dynamic transformation.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the stages of the industrial complex digitalization, develop its three-tier model, and assess the impact of digital technology on the economic security of the industrial complex of Russia.
Methods. For the study, I used the methods of analysis and synthesis, deduction and induction, empirical, comparative, structural, economics and statistics analyses, the logical and systems approaches, abstraction, and comparison.
Results. Based on an analysis of the factors that have had a negative impact on the industrial complex of Russia, the article shows the consequences of the crisis in the Russian industry and describes the current trends in the development of the industrial sector of Russia, taking into account globalization, socialization and the real economy diversification through digital technology.
Conclusions. The article concludes that it is necessary to take into account quantitative benchmarks, that help assess the industrial complex' state from the security strategy point of view. The advent of digital industrial technology will contribute to industrial growth and labor force change, which will affect the competitiveness of the actors and add an extra layer of economic security of the industrial complex.
