Subject. This article explores investment projects in the field of information technology and financial models of IT projects.
Objectives. The article aims to identify the features of projects in the field of information technology in terms of their impact on financial models, as well as develop approaches to drawing up the correct financial model of a company implementing an investment project in the field of IT.
Methods. For the study, I used observation, measurement, analysis, and generalization.
Results. Based on the study of IT projects, the article reveals their common features that make it difficult to apply standard modeling methods without adaptation.
Relevance. The results of the study can be used by financial analysts developing financial models, as well as users and experts in the analysis of the financial model to make a decision to invest in the project.
