Subject. The article addresses the totality of economic relations and problems emerging in the process of digital transformation of companies.
Objectives. The focus is on the development of key indicators to measure the effectiveness of digital transformation implemented by companies.
Methods. We employ methods of economic analysis, synthesis, and comparison. The study rests on scholarly works on corporate finance, financial management and digital technology.
Results. We define the concept of digital transformation and substantiate its possible directions for companies. We also suggest using the digital transformation index. It includes additive convolution and the use of the distance method. The paper underpins the criteria enabling a comparative analysis, comprehensive and reliable assessment of the effectiveness of digital transformation of company divisions. The digital transformation index can be useful as part of monitoring and managing the implementation of digital transformation measures.
Conclusions and Relevance. Practical use of the presented approach to assessing the effectiveness of digital transformation will help create a basis for making managerial decisions aimed at improving the efficiency of the company.
