Importance The article addresses organizational, economic and managerial relations arising in the process of formation and development of the quality management system at enterprises and organizations on the basis of the phenomenology of quality management systems.
Objectives The main purpose of the study is to develop theoretical and methodological tools for economic analysis of the quality management system of enterprises and organizations based on the theory of product life cycle quality.
Methods The paper employs dialectical principles as a methodological basis, which enables to identify the main characteristics of investigated phenomena and processes of quality control in their relationship, and define trends in their formation and development.
Results The findings show the importance of quality management processes of the enterprise relative to each other by identifying their 'starting' point with the help of Pareto charts. The recommendations of the paper may be used when organizing and improving the processes of product quality design and enhancement at enterprises.
Conclusions It is practicable to assess the quality of management processes based on their compliance with institutional norms within the self-evaluation, according to certain criteria, like Customer Satisfaction, Evaluation of Business Results, Value Creation Processes, General Management, Personnel Management, Management of Resource Potential, Personnel Satisfaction, Strategic Planning and Target Setting, Evaluation of External Effects.
