Subject The logistics system directly or indirectly affects almost all business processes of an enterprise, and its effectiveness is ultimately measured by financial criteria. The article discusses the use of the best logistics solutions from a financial point of view. Objectives The study aims to consider the concept of logistics optimization and its various interpretations, identify the main problems of logistics at the present stage of economic development, determine the most appropriate solutions to the problems from a financial viewpoint, and justify the financial efficiency of these solutions. Methods Using the methods of analysis and synthesis of information, logical and statistical analysis and mathematical modeling, we determined formulas to calculate financial benefits from the solutions outlined in the article. Results We provide our own definition of the optimization of logistics term, identify major contemporary problems of logistics of a company at the present stage of economic development, which have a direct impact on its financial position. Furthermore, we offer solutions to the identified problems and a formalized approach to calculating the financial benefits by using these solutions. Conclusions and Relevance To optimize logistics and improve financial standing, a company should use leasing instead of bank loans and contract labor, and reduce transport costs.
