Application of S-shape logistic curves when assessing and forecasting the innovation potential of the enterprise

Importance In recent years, it is extremely important to search for new approaches and methods for innovation activities assessment that would meet the requirements of the nascent sixth technological wave. The most significant tasks are to identify, forecast and use the innovative capacity of the organization, which promotes its future development.
     Objectives
The study aims to define the new understanding of the innovative capacity structure, to shape approaches to its assessment, and describe methods to forecast enterprise innovation activity.
     Methods To describe the overall structure of the innovation potential and each of its elements, we employed the statistical and mathematical method of logistic curves. Further, to support the proposed concept, we involve as arguments the theories of cycles by Kondratieff, Juglar and Kitchin.
     Results We have formulated the applied concept that describes the structure of innovative potential of the enterprise and includes the methodology for its assessment and forecasting. The concept also enables to use the methodology in analytical and managerial aspects of innovation activities of the organization.
     Conclusions and Relevance Based on the statistical data, we prove our unique concept of description of the enterprise's innovation potential structure using a family of logistic S-shape. We conclude on practical relevance of the described method and the need to apply it in organizational practice.
