The article deals with the principles of social responsibility of business, and it also shows the leading role of financial institutions in the practice of realization of social responsibility and sustainable development. The paper considers responsible financing as one of the financial initiatives in the area of social responsibility and sustainable development. The author identifies the ways of realization of the principles of responsible financing, and she also reveals the reasons, which constrain the development of a project financing in Russia.
