System of social protection: evolution and interrelation of categories

The article notes that research of essence, standards and mechanisms of achievement of high level of social protection of the population is special relevance in difficult conditions at the present. The author considers concepts of social protection, types of models of social protection on the example of the European countries, including at standard level and analyzes the advantages and shortcomings of models of social protection. The paper studies the history of formation of institute of social protection in Ukraine and prospects of development of this institute in the conditions of euro integration. The author concludes that the system of social protection is connected with features of the organization of the social state which purpose is increase of welfare of citizens.
