The article considers a conflict of interests of the state and the population regarding provision of pensions in the Russian Federation. The authors study modern problems of pension Russian Federation system, the main tendencies and possible ways of development of a situation. The work draws attention to possibilities of reforming of pension system through a prism of levers of an accumulative component of pension and possibility of its balanced development with assistance of the state.
