Direct investments of developed countries in FRG: analysis of the German federal bank’s statistics

The article examines the characteristics of accumulated direct investments of five leading investing countries in Germany (Netherlands, Luxembourg, USA, United Kingdom, France) in comparison with the indicators of developed markets’ countries as a whole. The author considers the analysis based on the statistics of German federal bank (Deutsche Bundesbank) in the period of 1990-2011. The author considers the growth rates of the indicated investments, their ratio to the German direct investments in developed countries, the foreign companies’ turnover in Germany and its proportion to the commodities import into Germany, as well as the unit investment indicators and the branch specificity of foreign companies’ investments in Germany. The paper reveals the conclusions on the highly probable considerable changes in the internal hierarchy within the leading five countries investing in German economy.
