Article is devoted to theoretical problems of financial stability of a banking system. Need of understanding of unity and distinctions locates at a ratio of the categories "financial stability of a banking system" and "financial stability of bank". To studying of these economic categories it is devoted many publications, however institutional development of the financial market, changes occurring on it, especially during globalization of economic processes, correction of approaches to their interpretation, and also developments of adequate ways of an assessment and the analysis demand.
