Development trends of the banking system of Siberian federal district

Today in the economic system of the country especially important role is played by regional banks. Due to its close links with the economies of the regions, extensive settlement systems, the regional banks are the credit institutions, which in the present time of hard work with the population, small and medium-sized business. In the present work we analyze the development of the banking system of the Siberian Federal district for the period from 2009 to 2013., with the help of econometric methods analyzed various indicators of activities of the regional banks of the Siberian Federal district, traced the main positive and negative tendencies of the development, revealed the problems of further development of regional banks of Siberian Federal district. The conclusion is, that in modern conditions of development of the banking business in Russia is the constant decline of the regional banking network in view of the tightening of the accepted norms in regard to the activities of commercial banks, and increased competition from the major other regional banks.
