In the article it is proved that A.L. Shlozer's scientific and practical activities are important for understanding of a way of development of the Russian public finances in historical, political economic, statistical, geographical and philological aspects. The opinion that researches of the German scientist of the second half of the XVIII century keep relevance locates and can be used at decision the financial problems in the current political and socio-economic conditions of Russian.
