In the article the research of the insurance market of the Republic of Khakassia with the position of its competitive capacity is carried out. In particular, activity of the companies occupying the largest market share in terms of volume of insurance, as well as the quality of insurance services is analyzed. The assessment of level of service of clients is carried out by a supervision method. The problems interfering effective development of the market of insurance are revealed, and ways of their elimination are revealed.
