In the article it is noted that the modern companies put huge investments into the information and technological projects. Therefore the preliminary analysis of expenses in these projects is especially important. One of the interesting concepts allowing carefully analyzing expenses in IT projects, the concept of an overall cost of possession is. Basic elements of this concept are considered.
