Modern tendencies of functioning of the global financial centers

The effective tool of preservation of the financial and technological sovereignty transitive and developing countries in the conditions of globalization is a creation of the global financial centre (GFC). In the present work the essential characteristics of a global financial center and the classification of the global financial centers are reviewed; the comparative analysis of the world's MFC rating systems is carried out; the monitoring of activities of the major global financial centers is made. A generalization of the results of theoretical and practical studies is given, which provide a comprehensive picture about the current situation in global financial markets, and together form the basis for the improvement project to build an international financial center in Russia.
