Mergers and acquisitions in banking sector

In the article it is noted that processes of consolidation and integration of the banking sector in Russia develop in recent years very fast rates, and it is one of the main trends in this segment of the market. The large companies are in searches of additional sources of expansion of the activity among which one of the most popular is merging and merger of the companies. Occurred events are analyzed, in which direction the banking sector and the reason for aspiration to join private banks.
