In the article the prospects of uniform European currency are investigated, and the situation in the European currency market is analyzed and the strategic component of revival of the European economy, connected with development of the market of euro is developed. The conclusion that, as the entry of new countries into the euro zone, most of the transition economies are moving away from the dollar in favor of the orientation of contracts and payments in euro is drawn.
