Essence of innovations, innovative process in retrospective and modern conditions

In the article the concepts «innovation», «innovative process» in retrospective and modern aspect are investigated. The approaches to the concept «innovation» as a result are systematized, the alternative scheme of innovative process is offered. It is proved that in modern conditions the innovation should be considered as the process system reflecting all aspects of innovative process which main goal is achievement of efficiency.
