Functional reformation of banking system: alternative approach

The article introduces the results of comparative study on deposit and lending activities of Russian banks. Special attention is paid to the banks' with state shares extent of involvement in the processes. The article also represents the RF citizens' opinion on functions of the banks with state shares and suggests the approach to further reformation of the banking system.
