In the article the basic trends of development of the institute of venture investment in Russia and abroad are analyzed. The new forms of the structuring of investment transactions are noted. The methods of the estimate of the cost of the invested companies from the point of view of their applicability at different stages of investment and with different structure of investment transaction are examined.
