National payment system: problems and prospects

In the article it is noticed that in modern conditions development of national payment system is one of the major problems of economic development of our country. The current state of national payment system testifies to its low competitiveness, especially in comparison with such payment systems, as Visa and MasterCard. It is an obstacle for wide introduction of national projects in spite of the fact that the volume of trans-boundary clearing settlements of the population is insignificant. The major factors interfering development of national payment system are revealed. Ways of its perfection are offered.
