The trends of the Russian stock market in the crisis and post crisis period and their influence on trading systems evolution

The current changes in the global economy during the crisis and post crisis period have an impact on the stock market of the Russian Federation. Recently, one of most pressing questions is the problem of creating the effective trading systems on Russian stock exchanges. In the present work the analysis of the occurring processes within the period 2008 - 2011 years is carried out with the help of the following indicators: the number of transactions, the number of investors, the turnover of brokers, index volatility, calculated on the basis of econometric methods. As a result, the main trends of Russian stock market evolution are revealed in the article: in particular increase in the number of new clients, trading intensity growth with volumes reduction and sharp rise in volatility, the main market share is concentrated in the hands of big brokers. Conclusions are drawn about the increase in the influence of private investors - physical persons on the development of trading systems on the Russian stock market and their ability to process big information volumes.
