The article describes that the world's leading multinational banks have begun to global management of credit institutions. The modern internationalization processes stimulate the growth of their integration. It is researched the phases of the development of international banking, are determined the phases of internationalization of credit institutions. It is introduced the new term into scientific circulation - the index of banking internationalization which can be applied to the strategic planning of the international banks
