Organizational and legal forms of banks: concept, legal basis, selection peculiarities

The article said that in connection with the world financial system crisis the issue of banking activity and the selection of banking organizational and legal form takes higher actuality in the recent years. It was proposed analysis the term «organizational and legal form (OLF)» is given as well as classification of legally permitted economic entities’ OLF. The basic normative acts which regulates OLF of credit organizations creation are considered, the short characteristic of OLF applied in the banking sphere is given. Taking into the consideration the current legal base, different factors of OLF determining its advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. The analysis makes it’s possible to emphasize character peculiarities of organizational and legal forms which are used for banks. On the basis of analysis it was recommended to use in creation and reorganization of credit organizations for trustors and banks’ owners.
