In work the analysis of results of investment activity in the Russian Federation during 2000-2008 is made. At the phase of economic growth the investment into a fixed capital have grown approximately three times. Thus high rates of increase have been in many respects caused by effect low initial base. Russia could not use to the full the possibilities which have opened in economic growth and to modernize the fixed assets and an infrastructure.
