In article the institutional structure of regulation of the financial market is considered. According to the authors opinion the reduction of the institutional organization of the financial market to a set of participants-institutes, regulators and infrastructure elements is methodologically incorrect. Institutes are defined as regulatory principles witch prescribe or forbid different ways of action and have both scientific sense, and practical value from the point of view of an institutional science.
