The article is devoted to disclosing the basic theoretical assumptions of the theory of financial science, devoted, though traditional, but controversial issues of studying the content and essence of Finance, which is based on a comprehensive analysis of their conceptual framework: finance and the financial system, money, funds of money.
     Author's analysis of the scientific heritage on the subject, widely represented in the writings of both domestic and foreign researchers, showed that despite the large number of publications, the issues on the theory of financial science require new approaches and a rethinking of some existing concepts and their complements.
