Moral institutions in K.I. Arseniev’s financial ideas and public activities

The given article looks at the moral institutions in the financial views and public activity of K.I. Arseniev, a scientist, a pedagogue and a statesman of the first half of the 19th century. K.I. Arseniev’s views were the reason he was judged and punished as well as appointed mentor of the royal family children. For his ideas and scientific works, which contained a good many of financial aspects, Konstantin Ivanovich was accused of the treason, but at the same time the patriotic nature of his works was acknowledged. To comprehend the disagreement of public opinion and the attitude towards Arseniev, one should use the institutional approaches, which make it possible to reveal the moral norms, internal, spiritual qualities Arseniev was guided by.
