From Basel I to Basel III: realization possibilities in Russian bank system

The author considers in the given article the evolution of approaches to estimation of capital sufficiency; results of realization of Basel I and Basel II in the national bank system are rated and problems revealed. Basel III is considered an alternative conception; possibilities of its application in Russia are appreciated taking into account the specific conditions of its development and legislation.
