Role of capitalization in modern economy

At present, companies’ capitalization rates are a market tool evaluating economic wellbeing of a company and a country economy as a whole. Capitalization is based on stock exchange quotes. One of the reasons for the 2008-2009 global meltdown was the domination of capitalization over working efficiency that has developed over the last 25 years.
