Features of insurance portfolio forming when insuring the agricultural risks in Russia

The volume of agricultural insurance market in Russia is still remaining far less than it’s potential. Partly, the current situation is concerned with the fact that insurers don’t understand specific character of pointed insurance product development and it’s core. In the present work specific features of agricultural insurance object were analyzed. Particular character of risk distribution and special approach to definition of insurance value, sum of insurance, insurance tariffs and to insurance product marketing was revealed. Analysis done helped to identify main reasons, which slow down the development of agricultural insurance segment.
