World currency system as a source of the modern economic crisis

To combat the consequences of the contemporary economic crisis and to prevent its recurrence it’s necessary to reveal and to investigate its sources. According to investigations, the basic reason of the crisis was the international monetary system that was in need of transformation. In the article problems of active monetary system are shown and necessity of its reforming is justified. Versions of new international currency based on different principles are considered. Being shown that neither SDR nor national, nor collective currency isn’t able to perform the role of the world reserve currency. The authors conclude that the present crisis is prolonged and it will be overcome just after change the world economy to a new monetary system.
