Monetary policy of central and eastern European countries: the optimal regime seeking

This paper discusses the contents and developments the Central and Eastern European countries monetary policies. It is analyzed the origins of the choice of monetary policy regime and the particularities of its realization in individual countries. It is concluded that irrespective of the choice of any monetary policy regime at the first stage of radical economic reforms the Central and Eastern European countries with the lapse of time begin to use the inflation targeting regime.
