Genesis of theoretical approaches to understanding of the role of bank on the securities market

The paper is devoted to the genesis of theoretical approaches to understanding of a role of a bank on the securities market. The author points out that even though banks have arisen and developed not only and it is not so much due to the securities market, but lately their functioning was often carried out for the securities market. Evolution of a role of banks on the securities market was dictated by the logic of both of the separate countries economies developments, and the global economy development. The author analyzes transformation of a role of banks as financial intermediaries from positions of modern directions of the economic theory.
