Foreign and russian experience of functioning of mutual investment funds

The industry of mutual investment funds in Russia has very short history, but roughly enough develops. In the western countries investment funds were widely adopted and already long time successfully function, therefore studying of foreign experience is very important as the Russian mutual funds were created on similarity foreign, and, especially, the American funds. In the present article foreign experience of functioning of mutual funds is analyzed and its comparison with Russians is given. Influence of the world financial crisis on the branch of collective investments in Russia is estimated and the short characteristic of its contemporary condition is given.
