D.A. Tolstoy’s role in the development of Russian financial science

D.A. Tolstoy’s practical and scientific works, which were forgotten and lost in Russian history, could be of a good use for the Russian society of today in a lot of different areas. As is believed in the given article, among such areas are methodological improvement of financial research, development and financing of science and education, patriotic education in particular. Studying the results of D.A. Tolstoy’s scientific and practical works, which favored the development of Russian society in the 19th century, proved their significance and utility for modern Russia.
