In article questions of a current state of the taxation of subjects of the Russian insurance market in a cut of its basic segments are considered. Existing problems of the taxation of segments of the insurance market come to light and perspective directions of perfection of application of tools of tax regulation of activity of subjects of the insurance market, by the account of differentiation of measures of tax regulation within the limits of separate segments of the insurance market are defined.
