The problems of an efficient monetary policy in Russia are explored in the article. The main attention is paid for the Basic directions of the state monetary policy for 2010 and the period of 2011-2012. The main problems studied in the article are: responsibility of the Central Bank of Russia for the goals of monetary policy achievement, the quality of statistical reports of the Central Bank, the strategic development of the banking supervision.
