The article is devoted to historical aspects of foundation and development of CCPs in Russia and in the world financial market. The author describes stages and tendencies of development in the US, Europe and Russia giving examples of forms, structures, risk management models of different CCPS. Analyses in depth is presented in the article regarding the CCPs in Russia with detailed description and comparison between «National Clearing Centre» (a daughter company of MICEX Group) and Clearing Center (a daughter company of RTC Group). The current trends and objectives of the CCP activities in Europe are also presented in the article.
