The underwriting in the insurance

The systematization of approaches describing the main kind of as the insurance business process as underwriting has gained great urgency because no one of Russian insurance standards does not contain of the term explanation. In the present work the definition of «underwriting» of Russian and foreign authors are examined and generalized. It is recommended to configure this process based author’s classification of the business stages and the underwriting functions depending on the features of insurance companies’ transactions.
