Theoretical analysis of essence of finance concepts under socialism & in modern economy

The article analyses the process of socialist finance knowledge development, as well as provides materials necessary to illustrate main stages of formation of soviet (socialist) finance as an independent economics category. The author lists arguments against the usage of the definition “finance” as a system of economic relationships under the modern conditions. He also presents a new definition of the research subject, not based on Marx-Lenin methodology.
